Early childhood: ill from birth?
By definition, we assume that we are born healthy as children. But this didn't seem to apply to me. Even in early childhood, I was constantly ill and a poor eater to boot. Visits to the pediatrician for tonsillitis were the rule. These constant inflammations, which were always treated with antibiotics, made real furrows in my tonsils from a very young age. Throat swabs led to the diagnosis of "streptococci". A special strain of bacteria that I had always subconsciously remembered and that would later trigger an AHA effect.
One event in my childhood is particularly memorable: I suddenly developed severe stomach pains, could no longer go to the toilet or even stand up straight. Huddled together and shaken by severe cramps, only an enema in hospital could bring relief. That same day, I was back on the soccer pitch and apparently in the best of health.
Youth: Free as a bird
Sport in general was my life. I played soccer for 25 years and was so fit and full of energy in my youth that I even started playing table tennis and basketball in a club alongside soccer. I did everything I enjoyed: Meeting friends, long bike rides, going on tour with the soccer club, partying, drinking lots of alcohol and just feeling good about it. My stamina in particular was exceptional, as I was always outrunning everyone. In my youth, there was absolutely nothing to suggest that I would ever be unwell. Everything seemed to be in perfect health.
Finally of age: but now it was all downhill
The closer I got to the age of 18, the more my school performance declined. A hard-working, bright, committed pupil became more and more of a listless slacker with increasingly dwindling energy. A few months before my school-leaving exams, I was hit by a bombshell: seemingly from one day to the next, my nose was completely blocked. On top of that, I had severe pain in my sinuses and lost all sense of smell and taste. The ENT doctor's diagnosis was quickly clear: sinusitis and house dust mite allergy. Antibiotic therapy and hyposensitization to the allergy began again, with monthly injections of the allergen in increasing doses for over 3 years to get my body used to it. Looking back, I don't want to know what toxins, additives and stresses were injected into my upper arm every month for a total of 6 years, because in my late 20s I went through this whole procedure for another 3 years because the symptoms came back later - today it is only logical now that I know that the underlying causes have not been eliminated.
After the sinus infection had subsided somewhat and I had diligently fed my body with antibiotics, my digestive problems began in my early 20s. An increasingly bloated stomach, occasional cramps and poor bowel movements made me feel increasingly unwell. My core was literally totally cramped and out of balance.
As a result, my statics were also completely shaken: pelvic obliquity, muscle tension and back pain. Even the physical activity of soccer did nothing to change this. In fact, I felt totally restricted, as the tension made quick movements and agility almost impossible.
This was followed by several visits to physiotherapists, massages and manual therapists, none of which were able to solve my complaints or alleviate them. In my early to mid-20s, I already felt like an 85-year-old grandpa for whom it was even an effort to get up from the couch. So for me, this condition was my "normal", but I never accepted it. I never stopped looking for solutions.
The 30s: burnout & medical odysseys
Things really took off around my 30th birthday. In addition to my job, I also started an evening course of study and had been chasing a lot of stress in my private life, but the adrenaline let me ride the wave and seemed to give me the strength I needed until one day the barrel overflowed: I was sad for no reason, drained and could have just cried. I had completely overwhelmed myself and was now paying the price. My job, in which I felt very comfortable, was suddenly a burden and I found it difficult to cope with everyday life. After I had recovered to some extent, I left my home country for work. But the new job turned out to be pure stress. Again adrenaline, again no rest. Fortunately, I was able to get out of it after a few months.
As a result, the health problems persisted and neurological issues such as tinnitus, mood swings and other diffuse neurological symptoms were added to the existing digestive complaints. Finally, my dentist diagnosed temporomandibular joint dysfunction (CMD). I was given a bite splint to correct the malocclusion and later orthodontics with accompanying osteopathy by a chiropractor, which at least gave me relief from time to time.
After giving up on traditional medicine, apart from the dentist and orthodontist, after several years without any findings or success - I have always refused medication, always knowing that the cause would never be remedied - I turned to alternative medicine. Before that, however, I changed my diet to Paleo (low carb, high fat) and for a short time I felt really well. Unfortunately, this didn't last long. Today I know that a low-carb, high-fat diet is the complete opposite of what we actually need.
Over the next few years I underwent various tests (stool, saliva, blood, urine) with a naturopath. Something was found everywhere and we treated these areas with homeopathy and the omission of problematic foods according to the food intolerance tests. But even this never brought any relief. I spent thousands of euros on tests, remedies and treatments and paid for everything myself.
It was desperate, but deep down I always knew that there was something out there that could help me. I just wanted to get well and get my life back.
Redemption through nutrition according to Anthony William
Some would call it a coincidence, but today I know that there are no coincidences and everything has a purpose. Just three months after starting my training as a holistic health consultant at the Academy of Naturopathy, I came across Anthony William's books. At first, I only saw pictures on Instagram of people holding their celery juice in their hands, beaming with joy. I was skeptical: just one juice is supposed to have such a positive effect? After reading the first book "Medial Medicine" and finding myself in all the ailments that Anthony precisely identifies in this book, I immediately realized: I want to try it out!
I started with celery juice, which tasted horrible for the first few days, but this soon subsided. I gradually felt positive changes in my body that I had never experienced before in my life. Over time, I integrated more and more of his teachings: Lemon and honey water, heavy metal detox smoothie, more fruits and vegetables, etc. and the effects were tremendous. I immediately felt "This is the right way!". I had finally found what I had been looking for for so many years! At last, after so much suffering and odysseys, I had found my way back. The way back to my health, the way back to myself.
Today, I am infinitely grateful for having suffered so much. Because this life path has been my personal training for my vocation, which I am now allowed to pursue. I help people on every conceivable level to find their way back to themselves. When we arrive at ourselves, we are unstoppable because we unfold all of our magic. There is so much more to us than we think and we can discover so many wonderful and new things along the way. I support you wholeheartedly with all the experience I have gained on my own path.
You deserve the best!
